Edward Hopper, one of the most well-known 20th-Century artists, played a key role in bridging the gap between traditionalists and modernists.
The 2011 exhibition focuses solely on Hopper and the evolution of his work over a lifetime, giving visitors a deeper insight into the man, his process, and his art. Images of the approximately 45 pieces in the exhibit are included in this catalog by Carol Troyen, Kristin and Roger Servison Curator Emerita of American Paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
