In this two-day workshop suitable for all skill levels, artist Charlie Munro will lead students through the steps required to create a wooden game board of their choice – checkerboard, Parcheesi board, or backgammon board. Each student can create a simple classic board or a more intricate design with a scene. Game boards will be finished with an antique-looking glaze and will measure approximately 16×22”. A $70 materials fee paid directly to the instructor will cover wood, paint, brushes, and other supplies that students will take home with them at the end of the workshop.
Contemporary American artist Charles Munro is an American painter and sculptor who has achieved a great amount of recognition for his art. Works by Munro are represented in many important public and private collections including The Smithsonian Institute, The New Yorker Magazine, The Nantucket Whaling Museum, The National Baseball Hall of Fame to list a few.
