New York History Day Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum are seeking a full-time New York History Day Coordinator.

The New York History Day (NYHD) Coordinator will be the primary person responsible for organizing and supervising the NYHD state contest; serving as the primary point of contact for students, teachers and judges. The position also entails working with a team of museum educators to plan education programming throughout the year at the museums.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the humanities; outstanding communication skills; previous experience in an educational, museum, or historical setting; working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;  meticulous attention to detail; ability to work on numerous tasks simultaneously; experience working independently and as part of a team; ability to travel statewide and to the National History Day contest in Maryland; and must be able to work some weekends and evenings.
