NEXT! Readings of New Works by Regional Playwrights

Beginning in 2016, Fenimore Art Museum will hold an annual open call for new plays by regional playwrights with an objective to both stimulate and celebrate quality work by Central New York dramatists.

The Artistic Directors of Fenimore Art Museum’s resident theater company, Glimmer Globe Theatre, will act as judges to select three outstanding works. The judges’ decisions will be based upon three questions:

Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum are accepting applications for full-time and part-time, seasonal custodians. Experience helpful, but will train enthusiastic individuals willing to learn. Neat appearance and good customer service skills required.  Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.

Our Clothing Project exhibit transitions into the fall and winter with a look at the Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum collection of apparel for the colder months. The exhibit includes seldom seen winter clothing from upstate New York’s past including mittens, muffs, capes, dresses, hats, and more.  Just in time for the holidays!
