A Taste of the Sublime
August 8, 2009
10:00am-4:00pm
Fenimore Art Museum
Join the Fenimore Art Museum in our second annual celebration of the relationship between artists and landscape. Offering one of the most spectacular views of Otsego Lake in town, the museum’s back lawn is truly the perfect spot to experience landscape art in the context in which it was created.
Enjoy entertainment and educational programming spotlighting the relationship between artists and nature, view exhibits by local artists, taste the best of New York State foods and beverages, and glory in the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. A beautiful day, a beautiful site, a can’t miss event!
Highlights of 2009's event include a lecture by William Vance, author of America's Rome, along with "tastes" of some of the best art in the area.
All activities at the event are free with museum admission and for NYSHA members.
