This year marks the 300th anniversary of the first significant immigration of German-speaking settlers to the New World.  In her talk, Cynthia Falk recounts the history of New York's Palatine population and looks at some of the objects--from houses and churches to family records and painted chests--that these migrants and their descendants created here in New York.
