Native Roots: The Ninth Contemporary Iroquois Art Biennial

April 17, 2013, from 12:30–2:30 p.m. at Fenimore Art Museum

Join the excitement as Fenimore Art Museum hosts Native Roots: The Ninth Contemporary Iroquois Arts Biennial curated by G. Peter Jemison, Seneca artist. The sixteen artists are members of the Native Roots Artists Guild and seek to perpetuate and preserve traditional Haudenosaunee art forms: wood carving, basketry, beadwork, pottery, cornhusk craft, and painting. Eva Fognell, curator of the Eugene and Clare Thaw Collection of American Indian Art, leads us on a tour of the exhibition.

Lunch and lecture fee: $22 for NYSHA members, $25 non-members. Join NYSHA today! Register for three or more Food for Thought programs at once and receive a discounted price of $20 for NYSHA members or $23 non-members per program. Please call (607) 547-1461 if you have questions regarding pricing.

Food for Thought Cancellation Policy: Registrants who cancel before noon on the Friday before the program receive a full refund. Registrants who cancel after noon on the Friday before the program will not receive a refund unless the participant’s spot can be filled. If the Fenimore Art Museum cancels a program because of weather, insufficient registration, or any other reason, registrants receive a full refund.
