Family Fun Day: Treasure Hunt at the Fenimore

Saturday, April 20, 1:00-4:00 pm

Enjoy an afternoon of games, hands-on art activities, and treasure hunts in the museum galleries. The Catskill Puppet Theater presents an enchanting play based on the life of the great Iroquois hero, Hiawatha.

  • Trash to Treasure: Become a folk artist by making crafts from found materials.
  • Try a Native American inspired craft … make a "wampum" key chain.
  • Story telling in our Children’s Education Room.
  • Create landscape art.
  • Play games, including “Where’s the Treasure?” in the Children’s Education Room
  • Have fun with your family going on both Native American and Folk Art Scavenger Hunts throughout the museum.

Treasure Hunt at the Fenimore is presented by museum staff and students of the Cooperstown Graduate Program and is included with regular museum admission. Admission is free for members of the New York State Historical Association. Join today!
