Food for Thought Come explore how Native people don clothing and jewelry, as well as deck their children and even animals in elaborate regalia to placate and harbor universal powers, to achieve success in hunting and warfare, and to show status and culture. Eva Fognell, Curator of the Eugene and Clare Thaw Collection of American Indian Art, will guide you through Splendidly Dressed: American Indian Robes and Regalia for a glimpse into the amazing regalia of American Indians both past and present. Lunch and lecture fee: $22 for NYSHA members, $25 non-members. Join NYSHA today! Register for three or more Food for Thought programs at once and receive a discounted price of $20 for NYSHA members or $23 non-members per program. Registrants who cancel after noon on the Friday before the program will not receive a refund unless the participant’s spot can be filled.
