The 111th Annual Meeting of the New York State Historical Association features remarks on Winslow Homer by David Tatham, professor emeritus of fine arts at Syracuse University. The exhibition Winslow Homer: The Nature and Rhythm of Life, from the Arkell Museum at Canajoharie is on display at the Fenimore from June 6–August 24.
A reception follows the meeting on the lower level of the Fenimore Art Museum. The meeting and reception is open to NYSHA members. Join today!
The annual meeting will also reveal the winners of the Paul S. Kerr History Prize, awarded each year to the best article published in New York History; the Dixon Ryan Fox Manuscript Prize, presented each year to the best unpublished, book-length monograph dealing with some aspect of the history of New York State; and the Henry Allen Moe Prize for Catalogs of Distinction in the Arts.
