Inez B. Lawson (born Inez Belle Dorn) was born in Esperance, Schoharie County, N.Y. on April 21, 1898. She graduated from Cobleskill High School in 1916 and the Practical Bible Training School in Bible School Park (Johnson City), N.Y. in 1922, and received teacher’s certificates at Oneonta Normal School in 1917 and at Watkins Glen in 1923. She was a teacher for most of the time between 1917 and 1929. In 1922 she married Albert V. Lawson, Jr.
Albert V. Lawson, Jr. was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 27, 1897. He began preaching at an early age and his youth helped to attract an audience. He attended the Practical Bible Training School from 1919 to 1920, received a high school degree at Cook Academy in Montour Falls, N.Y. in 1923, a B.A. from Colgate University in 1929, and a Masters in Divinity from Colgate-Rochester Divinity School in 1931. He became a pastor after this, and was a U.S. Army chaplain during World War II.
Albert V. Lawson, Jr. died on September 22, 1993, and Inez B. Lawson died on July 26, 2001.

This collection contains correspondence, particularly from Inez B. Lawson to her husband Albert V. Lawson, Jr. It includes materials related to the Practical Bible Training School in Bible School Park (Johnson City), N.Y., such as correspondence, notes, and fundraising appeals. There are also photographs, postcards, a diary of Albert V. Lawson, Jr. written while he lived in Cincinnatus, N.Y., genealogy, flyers, programs, and ephemera.
