Join the Fenimore Art Museum as we celebrate artists and the landscape! See the work of landscape artists, play games on the lawn, listen to curators talk about our exhibitions, and try local food and beverages.

Schedule:

Artist booth displays (all day)
Lunch available for purchase on the lawn (The café will also be open)
Audience Favorite Voting (until 2:30pm)
For Kids: Children’s Afternoon Tea (tentatively 1:00pm and 3:00pm)
Music: Joe Siracusa, Tom Wetmore, Joe Tokarowski (12:00pm-3:00pm)
Lawn Games, including croquet and bocce (all day)
Plein air demonstrations (all day)
Otsego: A Meeting Place exhibit (all day)
Cabot/McCadam Cheese, cheese tasting (all day)
Curator Gallery Talks (11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:00pm)
• 11:00am Shadow Catcher: Edward Curtis Among the Kwakiutl, Eva Fognell
• 12:00pm A Window into Edward Hopper, Michelle Murdock
• 1:00pm Prendergast to Pollock: American Modernism from the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, Chris Rossi
Award Ceremony (3:00pm)

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
• Best Interpretation of New York Landscape
• Most Outstanding Use of Color
• Most Original Style
• Audience Favorite
• Plein Air Award

We also invite plein air artists to bring your supplies, set up on the museum lawn, and share your work with event attendees. We’ll have space for each plein air artist to bring one finished plein air painting to display in our event tent, which will be eligible to win our Plein Air Painting Special Award. Admission to the event is free with paid admission to the Fenimore Art Museum.  Adults (13-64): $12.00 and seniors (65+): $10.50. Members of NYSHA, children 12 and under, as well as active and retired career military (must present card at admissions) are free.
