The New York State Historical Association has an opening for a part-time Membership Assistant. This position provides assistance to the Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations and Membership with all phases of membership processing and membership event planning.
Job responsibilities include:
Process all membership dues and mail all membership cards.
Process monthly membership renewal letter campaigns and send appropriate incentives.
Attend membership events.
Under the supervision of the Associate Director, provide support for event planning by assisting in the design of invitations, managing RSVP lists, maintaining contact with the caterer, and preparing internal facilities setup sheets.
Maintain and update appropriate lists on organization's Constant Contact account.
Complete miscellaneous database work as needed, including membership reports, employee lists, new employee membership records, and volunteer membership records.
Assist with large departmental mailings as needed.
Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
Maintain high standards of professionalism and conduct oneself in a manner which shall at all times enhance the prestige and credibility of the organizations.
Other duties as needed or assigned.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Raiser’s Edge or other fund development database experience a plus.
Must possess a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining a high volume of processing.
Banking, accounting, or money-handling experience highly desirable.
Ability to work without constant supervision, as well as the willingness to work as part of a team desired.
