"Otsego on the Hudson" — The 2013 Annual Benefit Gala Celebrate our vistas, views, and visions. Take part in a grand 19th-century picnic on the lawn inspired by the Fenimore's spectacular exhibition The Hudson River School: Nature and the American Vision. Dine on the lawn under a stunning sail tent, taking in a beautiful vista that could be straight out of a Hudson River School painting. Soar to new heights, literally and figuratively, with tethered hot air balloon rides. Croquet, badminton, and tours of Otsego: A Meeting Place will entertain as well. The evening will also feature a live and silent art auction. One of the paintings we will auction off is Otsego Twilight by Robert J. Schneider, a view of Otsego Lake from Hyde Hall painted in the Hudson River School style. Otsego Twilight is on display in the museum, next to the education room on the second floor. Prints of this painting are also for sale to benefit the museums. All the proceeds from the Gala support our stellar educational programs. Tickets are $175 per person. For more information about the Gala, please call (607) 547-1433 or email j.kendrick@nysha.org. Featured:
