Grade Level: 3rd to 5th What is folk art? Who makes it? In this tour, students explore the collection of American folk art at Fenimore Art Museum. Through artwork and stories, students will learn about some important folk artists, including Grandma Moses and Edward Hicks. They will learn how folk art can be used to tell stories and to understand American history. Students will create a Grandma Moses style landscape and village scene with pencils, crayons and markers on paper. New York State Learning Standards School Program Type:
