Meanings of the Mask

Tour the Thaw Gallery of American Indian Art and learn about the masks of Yup’ik culture of the Alaskan tundra in one of our popular programs. Students will learn how celebration and tradition was important to the survival of native cultures. Students will then create masks of their own to take home.
