History Scholarly Attributions: [1] Letter from Ruth Phillips - May 1995 - Identified as probably being Maliseet [2] Gerry Biron and Frank Bergevin - August 2002 - Assigned a Maliseet attribution, but noted that the shape of the bag is Iroquois. Also assigned a date of 1850-1870 rather than the originally assigned date of ca. 1860-1885.
