History Scholarly Attributions: Coleen Kelley Marks' comments - March 1996 - "Top piece (lid) and buckskin wrapping are missing. Used to hold the dentalium shell money which was incised, decorated with woodpecker feathers, freshwater "money" snake skin and a mixture of soot and either blood or fish glue, then strung on wild iris fiber thread that the men made."
