Children of all ages are invited to learn about art while having lots of fun in our kids’ programs and workshops, with unique, seasonal, or customized offerings throughout the year!

Parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren will enjoy this very special program that combines exploring the art of John Singer Sargent and the story of one of his paintings through the reading of Carnation, Lily Lily Rose: The Story of a Painting, and art lessons which include outdoor sketching and painting in the plein air style with artist Kevin Gray.
Museum educators will lead a week long book club, teas on the terrace, a game of croquette and tours of John Singer Sargent: Portraits In Praise of Women. Partners will also be led in art activities which will culminate in the creation of their own painting. Artist Kevin Gray will provide daily instruction that will benefit novice, and long time artists alike.

Ages 11 and up (Program designed for adult and child partners.)
Cost per couple: $ 175 for Members and $225 non-members (plus a Materials Fee of $30 per couple - Fee includes a copy of the book, paints, a sketchbook, and more.)
