Children of all ages are invited to learn about art while having lots of fun in our kids’ programs and workshops, with our unique educational offerings throughout the year!
Slumber Party for Girls. Each spring, girls ages 7–12 have a fun night of investigation, discovery, and observation! History and art come alive as they work toward Girl Scout badges and have lots of sleepover fun. You don't have to a be a Girl Scout to participate! (Date of the 2014 Slumber Party to be determined.)
Art and Nature Weeklong Experience. From July 30 to August 3, 2013, children ages 8–11 learned how nature inspires both art and music through the exploration of landscape painting and music. They also experienced a backstage tour at the Glimmerglass Festival and a performance of its production of Camelot. Read more (Date and theme of 2014 Weeklong Experience to be determined.)
Afternoon Art for Kids. Each August, kids ages 4–8 take part in art classes related to current exhibitions. Class size is limited; pre-register by calling Sara DeSalvatore at (607) 547-1461. Cost:$5.
