An intensive, two-week art program for aspiring artists ages 8 to 88!

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (July 15, 2014) — This August, aspiring artists (ages 8 and up) can participate in two-week art program at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown. Project: Exhibition is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for anyone who has a passion for art to learn, work, and exhibit in a world-class museum! The program takes place August 4-8 and 11-15 from 1:00-4:30 pm.
Participants will learn what goes on behind the scenes in preparing and producing an exhibition. In their first week, they will produce artwork under the guidance of esteemed local artist Susan Jones Kenyon. During the second week, Fenimore curatorial staff will assist in teaching the participants to prepare work and curate as they create their own show. The two-week program culminates with an opening reception for family and friends. The exhibit will be on display for all museum visitors to enjoy for two weeks following the reception.
Project: Exhibition takes place August 4-8 and 11-15 (Monday-Friday) from 1:00-4:30 pm. It is held at the Fenimore Art Museum, 5798 State Highway 80 (Lake Rd.), Cooperstown, NY 13326.
