COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — An evening of live-action museum theatre returns to the Fenimore Art Museum on Saturday, November 10. Night at Our Museum opens the museum doors to the community from 6:00-8:30 pm. This year's theme, "Foodways," explores rural food production through story time, theatre, and music. Community groups lead crafts and activities.
Visitors help solve the mystery of a "stolen" artifact in a new "who dunnit?" museum theatre event. They'll meet curious characters who span 300 years of history and see figures from the museum's paintings come alive to help find the missing artifact.
An exclusive performance by the local acoustic duo Will & Will highlights the evening. Will Walker and Will Green entertain and inspire folks young and old to dance, laugh and smile to traditional children's classics.
"Night at Our Museum" provides a wonderful way to bring families together in the lovely setting of the Fenimore Art Museum. Snacks and drinks will be available. Cost: $7.00 (ages 13 and up); $5 for NYSHA members; free for children 12 and under. No reservations are necessary. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information visit FenimoreArtMuseum.org/night or call (607) 547-1453.
This event is being planned in large part by students at the Cooperstown Graduate Program. Proceeds benefit the museum's Education Department.
