Native American Performing Artist Series

New Folk Art Acquisition!

The museum recently acquired a one-of-a-kind, 1930s shoeshine stand bedecked with gilded knobs and beaded fringe, which was once exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art. Read the history of this fascinating piece in a recent New York Times article.
